Some of the wood is a little dinged up (I blame myself for hulking it up a flight of stairs solo), and I stripped a few screw holes, but everything is secured so much, in so many places, I'm not even worried. This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy.
