This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy. I was pleasantly surprised with this desk. The piece of glass is heavy and substantial. I had feared it would be thin. It does not have a green tint to it. The wood is a lovely color. I am very happy with this purchase. I love the way it looks. One small note to the manufacturer- the 8 inches of warnings on stuck onto the center support was a beast to get off.
