The drawers are soft-close and can hold quite a bit, however the drawers are not particularly deep. The granite is beautiful and since this chest is so large there is quite a bit of granite surface area. I purchased this for my office but it would look beautiful in a bedroom as well. In fact, I kind of want the bedroom set after seeing this in person. I am so happy with this purchase. Its very lovely, perfect for my living room. It arrived on time without issue and didnt have any visible damage. The assembly, however, was rather difficult because the drills didnt align properly with their designated pieces.
