Tub was listed on the website as cast iron but actually was acrylic. Talked to customer service representative who was wonderful and immediately said the info was sent by the manufacturer to go on Wayfair website and that Wayfair was unaware that it wasn't cast iron. I needed to replace a Kohler corner tub in my primary bath that took up a huge section of my bathroom and I needed a tub that had presence/would fill the space well without looking skimpy. I also had a unique drain placement I needed to work around. I ended up deciding on this bathtub due to looks and the offset drain. Delivery was easy and the tub was extremely well packaged and somewhat resembling the Ark of the Covenant from "Indiana Jones" in its giant, wood crate. The finish on the tub is pristine and there isn't a single blemish on the tub, so the packaging was excellent. My remodel is ongoing, so I will need to update this review once it's complete.. Krista. Wayfair gets 5 stars for how they ultimately handled the purchase. But the shower base gets 3 stars. It isn’t perfectly square. Most of all, even though the pan is very nice, the ultra smooth top will probably be slippery (there is nothing in the listing or manual about having addressed prevention of slips and falls). And so, I will probably have to add no-slip tape or coating, which for a new installation should absolutely be unnecessary. UPDATE 5-12-26: CHANGING FROM 3 STARS TO 1 STAR. This is unbelievable. The bottom of the pan (that one would stand on) isn't sloped at all toward the drain. It's totally flat (parallel with the flanges); and so, after each use, a squeege would be required to help drain the water. And the cube supports under the pan aren't recessed at all (so a bit of mortar can stay under them). I have to think about this. I may raise the opposite side of the drain by 1/4" (which would create a lower slope than code), but the best thing to do would probably be to junk it.. Anonymous. Mon May 11 2026
