The result was absolutely beautiful. It is very easy to cut with a manual saw - it was easy to install and nail to the wall - as well as very easy to readjust in case of any errors. It is very forgiving as a product for beginners. I am also very pleased with the result. I would recommend to spray paint - or if you brush paint - pass two COATS. I purchased this in eight foot lengths to install all over the house: living room, den, four bedrooms, and hallway. It is beautifully intricate in design and has held up over the years with no cracking or chipping. We painted it a white semi-gloss. My only minor concern is that in the winter it does shrink a bit at the seams, showing gaps. But I think a little white caulk would take care of it. Added plus: we had one wall that was curved.
