This product was just as described. The blue wrapping was easy to remove and did a great job of protecting the surface. Installation went well but took some time. The vent hose was very large and had to be reduced to fit properly through the ceiling. The lights illuminate the kitchen with a warm light perfect for leaving on during the night for nightime visits to the fridge. The fan is too loud even on the lowest setting. I love this hood. I couldn't find a black one in local stores, so I was happy to find this one. When it first arrived it was dented, but the manufacturer replaced it. Our contractor vented it outside the house. He had to put some trim at the top to cover the holes, but it looks great! I like this range hood it serves its purpose pretty well it is a little loud. we had a difficult time installing it because to me the instructions were not very clear we end up damaging the inner chimney and had to reorder and it took forever and then they sent us the wrong one then the right one was on backorder so it took a while to get a replacement part.
