Life saver for kitty’s spay surgery. Also fits well into my compact SUV backseat, although I have to kind of shove it in. Very well made, sturdy zippers, clear windows is great (as opposed to all mesh everywhere. I recommend update 1.5 years later: it was hard to get into the car door so I cut it in half. this way kitty can now travel with me in the front, in the passenger seat. she does use the hammock from time to time, but most trips she doesn't. still a great purchase.. This Carrier is just PHENOMENAL! We have a 9 month old domestic shorthair who comes along on car rides with us several days a week. We Googled "animal carrier with clear plastic top" because we dearly wanted to have a good view of him AND wanted to be able to safely interact with him as we travel. When we used his original kitten carrier, it was more like putting him in jail. We couldn't get a good look at him, and the "door" was just metal bars. This gorgeous round Space Capsule Carrier fits purrfectly with his desire to snuggle down into a donut shape. A couple of the pictures with Wayfair's listing made me think that the rotating front was "frosted" and not clear. VERY happy to report that the front is crystal clear and lightly tinted. And the moveable front also has about 4 stops or stages, so that the door doesn't slam down loudly or unexpectedly. Do not hesitate to order this!
