Pardon the mess. I just put together a shoe cabinet before I decided to add reviews. The tape works! I only used about 2.5 inches on each corner. The rug is flat and stays in place when we open the door. I needed something thin enough to hold it in place but not get stuck on the door whenever it was opened and closed. We love this vinyl carpet protector for our stairs. It looks very nice, is non-slip and confirms easily to the stairs and stays in place with a minimal number of staples.
