Great that wasn’t too hard to assemble. I am a 52 year-old small woman and completed it myself in a few hours. The footboard has a flaw where the seam of the rectangle meets the frame. Bed feels quite sturdy and the drawers can be customized on either side - they don't attach to the bed but rather roll underneath. The base took a little extra time building with all the wooden slats being screwed together but that makes it very sturdy - no creaking at all! Beautiful wood that is probably more "orange" in person compared to the pictures. The base board looks a little different from that pictured - mine looked more like the headboard but it doesn't bother me and I'll keep it. The trundle is NOT full size!! Every description on the website says full bed with trundle, full bed with trundle, full bed, full bed. Nowhere does it note that the trundle is only a twin. So we purchased two full mattresses.. And couldn’t return them. Beware of that! UPDATE - we have had the bed foe a year now and every single slat under the bed is broken and one of the rails that holds the slats (the slats act as a “box spring” and hold the mattress up). That is just from normal wear and tear … not vigorous activity or jumping on the bed. I’m disappointed. I did not like putting this bed together but once it was done I think it looks great. You have to use an allen wrench to put it together and that was pretty frustrating. Nice looking in the walnut color. Sturdy, except the base where the mattress sits has no depth for an inlay, so the mattress can slide from side to side. Ease of ordering was great.
