They are sticky, but for the edge, you can use some contact glue on the underlayer to enhance it. For the price these are better than expected. They were packaged well…heavy duty boxes, well sealed. Banded and plastic shrink wrapped. Each box had 2 stacks of 22 tiles (42lb per box). I needed 100 (only complaint was I couldn’t order just a single stack so had 32 more than needed). Went together easily, looks great under my little gazebo. We’ll see how they hold up to sun the rest of summer. They do have that “made in China smell” but I’m sure that will dissipate quickly since they are outside.
