When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place.. I have a new patio to put these very lovely chairs onto — and am about to not only order sunny yellow seat cushions from Wayfair for comfort, but am also about to order two more chairs to have a set of four! We’ll see how they hold up to sun the rest of summer. They do have that “made in China smell” but I’m sure that will dissipate quickly since they are outside. These are an inexpensive solution to a very expensive problem. The prior owners of my house painted the deck boards with indoor latest paint. As you can see, it didn’t last very long. I was going to lift the and flip them. But that have required a lot of labor and new paint. These are fine.
