Received the GE 65gallon water heater with flexcapacity today (240v model). I did the installation by myself however the GE water heater is heavy. Luckily i got some help from my friend to set the water heater heater in place. The GE water heater is a little noisy when the heatpump kicks in (hopefully i did not get the malfunction one) i will observ the noise for a couple of days.. Anonymous. Fri Jul 17 2026

The GE 50 Gallon water heater heated the water fast and was a very easy install. I also like the brass outlet drain. The one I had before was plastic. The tank I replaced was a GE heater that lasted 19 years. I hope this one last just as long or longer!. Tammy. Hampton, GA. Tue Sep 15 2026

Very nice hot water heater. The box came damaged, but they did such a good job of packaging it the water heater didn't have a scratch on it. I installed it, filled it up and no leaks. I had hot water in 30 minutes.. Batch81. Callahan Florida. Thu Aug 22 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s only been a few days since the installation of my new 65 Gallon Tank GE Hybrid Electric Heat Pump Water Heater and I’m very happy. 50-gallon - 120V - Smart Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater with FlexCapacity

This performs exactly as well as my previous water heater, but with vastly increased efficiency. Given that I had to replace the water heater anyway, the added cost for the heat pump over the standard electric 120v will pay for itself in less than a year, and I will have it for at least another decade. It is MUCH taller than a standard water heater and requires room above it and around it to operate the heat pump. Also, the GE app is clunky (at best). It is not letting me set up a schedule to conserve even more energy, so I'll just have to make do with way more efficient instead of extra-way more efficient.. Nuri. Omaha, NE. Wed Apr 29 2026

Shopped around for a replacement water heater. A lot of brands I'd not heard of. I was also surprised that many had warranties for 2-5 years. After researching and trying to find a better brand with greater longevity, I learned that Wayfair sold water heaters and they carried GE. I found the GE model I was looking with a 12 year warranty and ordered it. Excellent communication, reasonable shipping time frame (our old water heater was still limping along, so we were ok to wait but I ordered on the 15th and it arrived by the 22nd!) and shipping was free. We were able to remove the old water heater and install the new one without much trouble. I've ordered furniture and other household items in the past and have always been pleased.. Anonymous.
