We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. The bidet top was easy to install once I had the electrician in to install a plug. I had a few plumbing issues, but mostly related to the age of the toilet. I am amazed at how much cleaner my toilet stays. I am happy with the cleaning wand and the appearance of the sear. I’m getting used to the opening and closing features.It took four or five times of turning the seat warmer down before it would hold. I’m just not a fan of a warm toilet seat. also I don’t feel like the dryer feature is very effective compared to others I have tried but otherwise it seems easy to operate and efficient.. Tippy.
