I bought this to organize my craft items. The shelves arrived disassembled in a box. The directions were pretty clear once I read it through and was able to determine what was meant because the pieces were all separated and labeled logically. Pretty steady metal shelving unit. The pressed cardboard shelves were slightly unimpressive but with the supports running through the middle it should hold weight, unless it gets wet.
