They will last your lifetime and through your children’s lives. The pan comes unseasoned so the color is more bronze, after seasoning they will be black. The Staub Cast Iron Braiser, Dutch Oven 3.5 Quart was the perfect size for 2 to 3 people. Serving size says 2-4 and I think that will depend on how big of an apatite your family has. The Geraldine color is amazingly beautiful, so beautiful I think I will buy every piece of Staub it comes in. Wayfair packed this item for shipment very well, unlike some others who slap a printing label on the original box and ship with no protection for the long journey from warehouse to home. I appreciate the detail in how it was packaged, and shipment of this product was fast I received it sooner than expected which was very much appreciated! I am very impressed by this beautiful pan. The size is perfect but finding a lid to fit has become challenging. I haven't used it yet but read the instructions and even googled more instructions on how to cook with it. I'm sure it will be good. My first piece and will add to it a little at a time.
