I'm not sure what I was expecting but the handles are hard plastic which makes them feel less than high end. The “max fill” line is hard to see, so I overflowed the milk the first time however, there is a hole in the base that prevented damage to the heating element on the base. I love the teapot. Perfect size, pretty color and texture! But the mugs that come with it are big for teacups. They act more like coffee cups in my opinion.
