The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. We had a little trouble with the machine after about 3 months or so. We submitted an online warranty claim and it went super quick. Was so easy to send in-(keep the box!) we didn’t but bought a box and bubble wrap. Repair was QUICK. Still wasn’t working right so it was again super quick to send it in and get it back. A must-have for busy kitchens, this automatic design takes the mess out of trash disposal. Powered by three D batteries, this design uses motion sensor technology to open and close automatically, allowing you to toss used goods with ease. Crafted from steel and boasting a brushed exterior, it's sleek enough to fit right in with modern kitchen decor. Plus, a liner is included. Accommodates from a 21-gallon to a 30-gallon trash bag.

We absolutely love this trash can! The large capacity holds so much, and the motion sensor is amazing. It feels so much more luxurious than a typical step trash can, and the sleek design looks great in our kitchen. If you can get it on sale, it’s an even better deal, but honestly, I think it’s worth the price even without a sale. It’s much more affordable than a Simplehuman trash can while still looking nice and offering the convenience of a motion sensor and a huge capacity.. Anonymous. Tue Sep 15 2026
