Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used overseas food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. I really like this wind chime. The jute rope it hangs from looks to be secure, but we’ll see how it holds up overtime in the elements. It’s not too quiet or too loud, it’s perfect for me. I can hear it softly flowing from inside my house. All three bowls have LED lights which adds to the mood (in my evening photo the Japanese maple has a solar uplight on it too). The only thing I’d change is the back opening. There’s a large circle, about 4.5” and it’s uncovered. I put netting over the hole temporarily so nothing gets in it. It would be better if they added a rubber cover in the opening to keep debris or critters out. Other than that it’s better than I’d hoped!. Figs. California. Sat May 23 2026
