loved the table. but took all metal off (extension suports and extra metal feet part) - much better crude, only wood. when we need extensions, will pickup in the garage. after some months have passed....... the wood covering is just a cover, it chips and cracks - very sad, because the table is beautiful - but it won't last long years.. Once assembled, the table feels sturdy and stable. The thick frame and pedestal-style base give it a substantial look while still allowing good leg room for chairs. At 86.7 inches long, the size works great for everyday dining and can comfortably seat several people when hosting.
