I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. The size works, but it feels slightly limiting when I want to pack a heartier serving. Even so, they have a solid, sturdy feel and they clean up easily, which I appreciate on busy evenings when I am trying to get everything ready for the next day. The ceramic bowls themselves wash beautifully, but the plastic lids behave like most plastic lids do and tend to stain when used with tomato‑based soups or sauces. Because of that, I have been avoiding tomato dishes when packing lunches. Where these crocks truly shine is breakfast prep. They are the perfect size for yogurt parfaits layered with fruit and berries, and I love that the set includes four.
