For as much as we paid for these carpet tiles they are very low quality. We are very disappointed in this purchase. They are not all cut to 18x18, some being cut slightly bigger so they don't line up evenly on the floor; the backing on most is not sticky enough and we've had to use carpet glue to get them to stick; I wouldn't consider them "dark" brown but more medium brown. It's a good thing we have leftovers because we will probably be replacing some very soon as they probably will not last. We ordered a total of 11 boxes, 5 of which shipped and were delivered very quickly. The rest took the scenic route and spent a lot of time traveling around the west, going from TX to CA and back again with some making a stop in AZ. The rug is flat and stays in place when we open the door. I needed something thin enough to hold it in place but not get stuck on the door whenever it was opened and closed.
