Let’s be honest, you want an umbrella that lasts. That is why we built this one with a heavy-duty steel frame and a raised base pole—it just sits more securely than standard models. The foldable handle isn't just for looks; it stays out of the way so you don't bang your body against it. The fabric? It is a solution-dyed fabric, which means the color is locked in and won't fade out after one summer. With a safety lock and 8 bright light strips, it is a solid, practical choice for any home.

Great quality at a Great price!!!. Tracey. Houston, TX. Sun Sep 27 2026

Made very well!! Made a shade for the horses since it was going to be 105 all week. Material is thick and the cable running through it is nice because you don’t have to worry about the material ripping like a normal shade cloth. Hardware is nice and heavy. Anonymous. Tue Aug 04 2026

Waterproof! Durable, we have several in different colors and have lasted over 3 summers without fading or Tearing and we live only 5 miles off the beach with sometimes high wind and hurricane times! That’s saying a lot;) we extended ours from roof to our deck and it stands as our sheltered in area!! Can sit under it during rain and all! Don’t even need to shelter our deck now! this is a replacement for an older shade. Found the eyelets to be superior in this Royal unit but have not had time to install but from inspection the stitching is the key. a slight bit of a "plastic" look, but have used it for years now as roof to pergola and it's held up quite well. You might want to layer up two if you want serious sun protection - a single layer lets quite a bit of light through. I found two layered together ideal at least for my purposes and preferences. Mark. Canton, MI. Mon Aug 10 2026

Would have been excellent had I measured correctly. I chose the 16x18 and need a 16x20 or 16x22. The harder you pull the corner cables in a diagonal direction, the more the sail cinches along the edges like a drawstring and the more the sail sags in the center. For the sail to be fully taut when hanging, it either needs to be within a foot or so to the post you’re securing it to or the line of pull needs to be perfectly aligned with the edges of the sail. I did leave it hanging like a curtain for a couple days when I realized there was no way I was going to get to hang properly. It absolutely does its job at shading and cooling an area significantly. Highly recommend. Just make sure to accurately measure and to not forget that measuring horizontally along the ground will underestimate the actual distance between the two attachment points if one is significantly higher than the other.. This shade sail is perfect for lowering the temperature in the pool. The water was 94° and not conducive to swimming. The day the shade sail was installed, the water temperature dropped to a refreshing 84° with the same high temperature in the high 90s.The pool can now be enjoyed all day. With UV indexes high every day here in Georgia (could not get the address listed to change) a portion of the pool is shaded all day. With the noted change in water temperature, another shade sail was ordered to block the sun from patio doors facing SW. That will be added soon and a review forthcoming.. Barbara. Pine Bluff, AR.
