So it's a definite 2 person job to put together, because it is super heavy to lift. This recliner is absolutely beautiful and comfortable also. It sits close to the wall, 4 inches, and when it reclines it slides forward from the base. Very clever design. It also has a very nice hidden storage compartment in the Love the blue fabric. I got manual as power has so much more of a chance to fail. That is what happened to our last very expensive sofa..
