A series of slats eliminate the need for a box spring, so all you need to get are two mattresses (sold separately).

This arrived quickly. Instructions were easy to follow. Says two people to assemble, would have been faster with two, but I did it alone with some well positioned leaning supports to add bottom rails to sides.
