I bought two of these for a pop-up trundle bed for guest use since it claimed to join into a king size bed. That is a different story. I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. We love our memory foam mattress that we got for our Murphy bed! It can be used on the ground too. Its comfortable for guests.
