It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. Otherwise a good buy.. Andrew. Bedford, TX. Wed Aug 05 2026

The packaging and quality of the cedar is very good. Like Teal, of Pomona, NY stated in their review: it’s a box of wood and bag of hardware and some very simplistic instructions. As a prolific builder and DIYfer I used my experience in assembling the arch. Fortunately, I have a pneumatic brad nailer with galvanized brads which made short time in nailing the many pieces together. I did not follow the slat spacing suggestions from the directions, rather having read the reviews, I made my own jig spacers after careful measurements. Pros: Good quality cedar; Looks excellent when completed; Assembly is straight forward once you figure out the spacing; Left unfinished the cedar will gracefully weather Cons: Directions need embellishment; Not for those wanting a quick assembly; Took over 6 hours to complete; Nails provided are not galvanized and should be of an outside product; Only 2 decorative wooden “arrows”---should be 4 for two on each side; Added longer and beefier exterior screws at the top/side joints for more strength. The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. I love the assembly service that Wayfair provided. The handyman was great. He was on timely, proficient and sensitive to my needs.. Judy. Maryland. Sun Aug 09 2026

This garden arbor is constructed from fir wood and offered in both arched and flat top styles. It provides a durable framework for supporting climbing plants such as roses, ivy, and clematis, and serves as a decorative entryway for gardens, pathways, or event spaces. The wood is finished in teak or dark brown to coordinate with a range of outdoor settings.

Our outdoor bench doesn't just seat three comfortably it also has a trellis on each side and a pergola over top to form a large arbor arch. Grow grape vines or any climbing plant without sacrificing space or style. It's great to decorate string it with lights or tie on balloons. Made of solid fir wood coated with waterproofing varnish, our garden bench is outdoor-ready. The varnish accentuates woodgrain, adding a wipe-clean finish that's easy to maintain.
