This is a really nice track lighting kit with standard installation and a familiar rail design. We like this track light a lot. We love the sleek look and it was so easy to install. We have it in our living room and it's great. A tiny thing is that the bulbs are really, really bright and florescent, so we actually cut out gel filters (usually used for film lighting) and used them to change the tone of the light, and it works perfect. The only other tiny thing is that it seems complicated/maybe really hard to change out bulbs when they die (but that won't probably happen for a very long time because of the type of bulb, so that's a plus).. Nice design, puts out a good amount of light. Directions a little thin, but ok for anyone who has changed a light fixture before. The adjustable wire for the free side (side opposite the outlet) probably needs to be trimmed--but nothing says this should be done. The screw that anchors the free end can go directly into the ceiling drywall anywhere--doesn't need to be drilled into wood. Two people needed to mount it and get the angles right. I used MR16 GU10 Dimmable 15,000-Hour LED Light Bulb 2700K in Soft White, and the light is crisp and warm enough (not as warm as halogen, of course, but they run cool by comparison). The specs said it needs a transformer--it doesn't just a standard 120V outlet. I am very happy with this product, just need to put in a dimmer.... Lorren. Mon Jul 01 2024
