Gee, I can't believe it's been nearly 15 years since this was installed. During that time I've replaced the faucets once, (which is not unusual) and I have to say that everything on this vanity was really superior quality. The carvings still look beautiful though the painted finish is chipping in some areas, but is easily touched up unlike modern day vanities, which are plastic and cannot be touched up. The drawers function beautifully as do the cabinets on each side of the sink,. Despite it not being the current decorating vibe, I still love the piece. Since purchasing this vanity it's been nearly impossible to find reasonably priced vanities that are made as well as this one was. Oh yes... the Botticcino marble top is exquisite. This fantastic countertop has only 1 flaw. The faucet holes were drilled on the wrong side so the space between the sink the edge is slightly larger than it should be. I am hoping to provide some insight to help others who might be considering this vanity. (1) Construction - it is a solid piece; vanity is fully assembled; the top is boxed separately which I understand to be a good thing. (2) Not solid wood, but it is solid - as per my builder. The wood grain has some texture to it, which is nice. (3) The gold accent is very nice - it is a champagne brushed gold (4) downfall is that the the top and bottom drawers both open from the middle of the vanity - where the gold strip is. The top drawer cannot be accessed from the top of the drawer which will require you to bend down each time you open the drawer - in other words, access to the top drawer is "not easy" - minor detail but for me its a product flaw. (5) the sink is solid, bright white and very modern. Minor flaw - the drain is chrome - I would have preferred this to be champagne gold to MATCH the accents on the piece. Am going to try to swap that out or paint it. I give this 4 stars due to the fact that it is not 100% real wood and also that the top drawer cannot be easily opened. I love the style of it. I took these pictures in natural daylight without flash, the piece is not fully assembled in this photo (just staged in a spare room) which is why the top may look crooked.. Susan. Freehold, NJ. I was told delivery would be Feb 20-27. The guys doing my bathroom were not ready when our vanity came a day early today. They opened the boxes and the vanity looks beautiful.
