It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. HOWEVER, right side panel did not install flush to the front by about 1/32", which was enough to cause the back panel to not slide into the grooves. This is exactly what we were looking for. I was looking for a cabinet that was a bit taller and with some storage space. The doors have slats so you can see some of whats stored there. If that would bother you then this isnt for you. However i imagine you could use a remote without opening the doors. I was able to fit dvds, games ans a dvd player in there.
