I have this rain barrel in both the 80 gallon (1) and the 50 gallon (2) size, and I really like the simple aesthetic. The dark gray color matches my siding almost perfectly, helping these hide visually, since two are in the front of my house. The 80 gallon has better water pressure, nice if you’re filling watering cans and don’t want each fill to take forever. But the plastic spigot that came with it is cheap and hard to maneuver (but I keep forgetting to replace it when the barrel is empty). The 50 gallon ones come with two metal spigots each, which are far nicer to turn off and on. But the water doesn’t come out as fast, for whatever reason. We have all of them up on blocks to aid with water pressure and fitting a bucket underneath. Overall, great product, and they’ve kept my garden alive through multiple summer drought periods!. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used imported food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The shed is a good, compact size and was purchased specifically to comply with the HOA’s strict height limitations. It just makes the maximum height allowed. Bought this to store the pool floats and toys in because I was sick of carrying them back and forth from the garage. Now, most everything fits in it on the pool deck with room to spare for small things. I have four blown up pool floats (one of which is bulky with a unicorn head and tail), a small kiddy pool float, some pool noodles, padel boards, and the deck umbrella. And like i said i still have room to add any smaller items. Very spacious. Fairly easy to put together. I put most of it together by myself. Attaching the lid to the hinges on the box was the final step and I did need my husband to help with this. I had a hard time keeping it in place while I tried to screw on each side. It seems sturdy enough so far. I am worried about how to use it in the winter without mice nesting in it. We had a shed that the mice took over and made super disgusting. So Im not sure that Id store anything in this over the winter. There are spaces at the bottom for air flow that the mice can easily access.
