We enjoyed the final result but the shed was challenging to put together. Sometimes these instructions nowadays are difficult to read. A big problem was that there were very few pilot holes drilled and the "wood" didn't like to accept the screws that were rather large. We made it work, but I would recommend making your own pilot holes so that you don't split the pieces. As you can see it turned out nice.. Heather. Duluth, MN. Thu Jun 18 2026

My wife and I assembled the Challet last winter. It was a lot of work but everything was there and it all fit together like the 300 page assembly instructions indicated. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the instructions were pretty clear. I put mine on top of of a concrete pad. Also did a row of cinder blocks, which required a little customizing where the door fit in the wall. Also bought my own 16 foot and 10 foot long boards for the sill plates and headers, and used them instead of the shorter pieces that came with the kit. Michael. Wed Jul 03 2024

Great project to build if you’re handy. All the wood was in good shape. I suppose 2x4s could have been a bit better. Wish the floor was pressure treated and a bit more supported by some extra joists. Roofing paper was insufficient as well. Came with 2 sheets of tar paper so there was a seem that leaked. Had to patch it already. Would have given 5 stars, but for the price (almost $4k) , I expected top notch.. Jason. Keyport, NJ. Thu May 23 2024
