Finding a nice gaming chair for much larger humans has been hard. My baby bro lol is a super husky dude. He was in need of a new chair but it needed to be able to hold his weight. I do think if you are short and use the maximum lumbar support you may need a footrest. My husband on occasion needed a second pair of hands. One of the reasons I bought this particular chair was because of the spring system under the foam on the seat of the chair. I really like this chair. It is comfortable and looks nice. The cushion seat and back are comfortable with plenty of room. The legs were a little tricky to put on but if the instructions would have been a little clearer on how to twist them in place (wheel part) it would have gone easier. However once accomplished all was good. I have had it a few months now and am glad I picked the black fabric type as no sliding around like those slick material chairs. All in all, am happy with it.
