It took longer than expected to receive the countertop but it arrived in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I put on 3 thin coats of wipe-on water based satin polyurethane to protect it and sanded lightly with steel wool in between coats. Each table top is a natural reclaimed wood product, providing additional character with some variation in color and texture based on the raw material available. The reclaimed wood table tops come with a water-based urethane Matte finish to make them easy to clean and keep yourself free of pesky splinters. These table tops are not recommended for outdoor use.

These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store.
