The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy leveling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation. We bought this set to use on our new induction cooktop. In two weeks of use now, I’m finding that they clean up well as long as we let the pans cool down completely before washing them.
