It works well for this and will hold 20-24 bottles. The lids fit securely and even when loaded heavy the storage bins feel strong and well made. I love that they are stackable because I am always needing to reduce storage floor space. They seem to stack well but I still try to put heavier items on bottom and lighter on top. I love it from the ease of opening and closing the lid and the lid creates vacuum seal with the box , so it keeps everything inside safe and sealed very neat and secure.
