The velvet feels very soft and luxurious and the material is made easy to clean. This bed doesn’t require a box spring However, if you’re not looking for a low profile look with the mattress then a box spring is needed. This bed is super easy to set up and is very strong and durable. I really love that this bed was not tufted velvet like the others but pleated velvet instead.
