I should have read the reviews better. The base is very difficult to get the lamp to attach properally to. It took two people to get it together (one holding it and the other installing). Lovely lamp, adds a warm cozy feel to the dinning room. Love the fact that it has multiple shades of light for personal desire. The drum of the shade is nicely large and adds a grand feel! Assembly was slightly confusing as the instructions are not very fluent and I am pretty handy. So be prepared to play LEGO with the pieces. lol but fully worth it.
