It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. I usually never write a review but, we love this tv stand! After looking at many online TV stands, we decided on this one. I didnt know what to expect as this was my first furniture purchase from Wayfair. The box arrived in great shape. The inside was very well packed and protected in every way. I am 76 years old and am proud to say I put it together myself. I only needed help with putting the top in place. I just took my time and it came out great!
