Although it’s not recommended to place it above a bed, I needed a shelf that wasn’t too heavy to install above my dresser and hold my projector. Great shelf! Easy to install right into studs. One of the L-brackets was clearly less that 90° angle but it didn't actually make a difference. I hung it and everything is level. I am extremely happy with this iron pipe wall mount shelving system. The design is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for—very sturdy, industrial farmhouse style with clean lines that instantly elevates the space. The black iron piping feels heavy-duty and well-made, not flimsy at all, and once mounted properly, it feels very secure and strong. Assembly was straightforward and well worth the effort. All the metal components fit together nicely, and the mounting points lined up perfectly. I appreciate that this system allows flexibility in choosing your own wood shelves, which lets you customize the look to match your home. I used solid wood boards, and the final result looks high-end and custom-built. One very important thing to note (and not a negative—just something buyers should be aware of) the wooden shelves are NOT included. You will need to purchase or cut your own boards separately. This actually ended up being a positive for me because I was able to select the exact wood tone, thickness, and finish I wanted. However, if you’re expecting an all-in-one kit, keep this in mind before ordering. Once installed, the shelves hold a great amount of weight and are perfect for decor, books, plants, and storage. Really great set of shelves - I love the aesthetic with the metal pipes and the wood used is extremely solid and feels very high quality. My one gripe with this is that the pipes that screw into the wall mounts dont align, so each of the pipes have a noticeable slant that requires extra effort to make sure the shelf sits flat on them..
