It took us several hours to finish putting it together mostly because we don't often construct things. The first pieces were difficult because we had to be on our knees to screw it together, after that all was well. Small tools included. Be careful when removing the wrapping… the scissors I used scratched one of the legs (two small thin scratches, I had that leg face inward when assembling it so it won’t be noticeable). That being said, I did appreciate the note in the instruction manual that advises assembly on a soft surface like a rug. After accidentally scratching the leg, I quickly opened up the cardboard box it came in and used that as a flat, protective surface. No more scratches ensued!
