These lights are great. I was able to install them myself and I am not an electrician (although a very capable DIYer). The box sits perfectly inside the ceiling and the switch to adjust the light temperature is on the side facing the hole so you don't have to keep pulling it out to adjust. The lights are wafer thin and the clips are easy enough to manage. The lights wont be fully installed for a while yet but I am pleased with their overall desighn and condtruction. THey will hold up well to outdoor conditions. There is a swith on the junction box that will change the lighting effect as desired. Lastly - the description, and even instructions, specify a 2 7/8" hole saw cut needed for installation. THis is not a readily avaiable hole sixe to find, but on further isnpection, a hole saw of 2 5/8" is sufficient and will do the job just as good if not better providing a hole with less slop for the fixture to move within.. The 15502 series trims are designed to fit standard 5-inch recessed housings using torsion v-spring clips (included) for installation. The diameter measures 6.5-inches with a glass lens aperture of 4.5-inches. The trim is perfect for showers, bathrooms, closets and outdoor patios. Use with any of NICOR’s 5-inch recessed housings for a perfect match or use with an existing 5-inch recessed housing.

When I placed my order I was a bit confused. I thought this was an entire recessed lighting unit, but it is only the outer trim. I contacted customer service and got everything straightened out. And the agent who helped my was very pleasant and had what I needed sent out in a timely manor. This trim piece itself is very good quality and worked out well once I had the housing unit for it.. D.
