First off, this gate does come with the hardware needed to attach it to posts or whatever you need. The description wasn't very clear on that, but calling Wayfair Support before purchasing assured me that was the case. Second, we haven't installed it yet because our contractor is building our fence and this will be the last step. Third... and I probably should have started with this, the assembly instructions leave A LOT to be desired. It took me and my husband nearly two hours to put together. The instructions did not say how many of each part we were supposed to have so out of the gate (no pun intended), and just had to start and assume we had everything we needed. Fortunately all parts were there. But there was no way to know that when we started. Then the instructions we're not very clear AT ALL and we have a couple of failed attempt where it became clear we did something wrong and had to pull things off and start again. We're both fairly handy and have assembled plenty of things in the past, so it wasn't operator error. Things didn't fit together easily either and you definitely need a rubber mallet to pound some things into place. It would have been way easier to assemble if they instructions had been more accurate and clear. Fortunately we didn't put the glue on it as it said to do at the beginning, otherwise we would have been really angry having to wipe it off and start again. Lastly, it does look good so far. Photos are leaning up against our garage door. We got the 5 foot wide version. Hopefully our contractor will have an easier time assembling and attaching the gate mechanisms and hinges/latches.. I bought this gate kit at the beginning of summer and finally got it done! It was super easy to assemble i highly recommend watching the video instructions they helped a lot. Im not an experienced carpenter so it was super helpful. It took about 2 hours from start to finish and looks great! I ordered 2 more to make a driveway gate to match the fence we built too. Very happy with this product. My one complaint is they shorted us about 15 black screws and I had to use gray ones that I had to complete it fully. Again shorted 10 screws for 2 kits that I bought for the driveway gate. Still it looks great. I had to orient my gate hardware differently because im adding wheels and wanted solid wood on the side wheels will be attached to. i dont mind seeing the hardware on the opposite side. I bought two gates and they look fabulous.. . Very easy assembling. Just need someone's help to hold the pieces, otherwise any adult can assemble it. Got all the nuts and Allan keys for assembling, but i used another key for easy handling. Be careful when handling it as it is very easy to get scratches. Very nice gate . All my neighbours were so impressive on the designs... There are few bits to highlight for the improvement of the future products. 1) Some parts (Poles) were not finished well as there were some dents (un even surfaces - bit bad finishing) 2) The lock tongue direction is wrong. we usually open the gate to inside and the tongue direction should be the other way round which we cannot simply adjust with rotating the panels, etc, because of the design. 3) Do further more designs, So will have unique design for most customers...
