This mat is fine, but it’s not exactly what I was looking for. It has the extra width which is a priority for me, but I don’t really care for the textured top. That’s on me though as it wasn’t something I could be sure of from the online photos. I also needed it to be thicker like other mats I’ve had, but it falls just a tad short there. On the plus side it has a good solid heft to it and it lays flat. Will probably want to anchor it to the floor with those double-sided sticky corner adhesives because I have to have it aligned with the tile at all times (it’s a Virgo thing) and any mat you buy is going to shift a little. Overall I am very happy with this rug. But be warned that the color is very different than pictured. In daylight, it is more of a graygreen and darker than photos. We have received so many compliments on this kitchen mat. We got it in green and it adds a new level of sophistication to our kitchen. I love the length of the mat and that I can use it in front of the stove and in front of the space I use for prepping my baked goods.
