Overall pretty simple to put together…. Took me about 1.5 hours, but I put the towel bar and wheels on after the legs since my kitchen is tight on space and wasn’t sure they would work. Smaller hands make assembly a bit easier since some of the connections are in not easily assessable areas. The long and medium bolts are the same length! The Allyn wrench provided is too long, so used a smaller one I had that worked better for me. Also there were a couple of small nicks (minor) on the black wood, but decided to keep it since it’s a hassle to return. Overall pretty happy with the cart.. Lorette. Arvada, CO. Sat May 16 2026

Kitchen Island with Storage: Spacious countertop for easy meal prep; bottom two-tier open shelves keep cookware, utensils and daily essentials handy.

It’s a very nice kitchen island, especially considering that it’s made of plywood. I will say that it sits a little higher than my countertops than I expected, even though I measured beforehand. I believe the extra height may be intentional to accommodate stool seating. Overall, though, I’m very happy with it! I’m currently upgrading my kitchen and redoing my cabinets, so I needed to find ways to cut costs without sacrificing the look I wanted. This island was a great solution. It looks beautiful in my kitchen, provides plenty of extra workspace, and has become the perfect gathering spot for my guests while I’m cooking.. Katherine. Wauwatosa, WI. Mon Sep 28 2026

The thick wood top with drawer, brass towel rail, antiqued hand-hammered hardware, bottle opener, and hanging hook atop a slat wood bottom storage shelf. Reclaimed wood is old repurposed wood rescued from old barns, houses, barns, boxcars, and wine barrels. Wood is highly prized for its authentic seasoned effects and age-old character. It is a part of a popular new American farmhouse and or our coastal series from the heritage collection. The series is an expanding series that is affordable yet appropriately fashioned for a more relaxed American lifestyle. The style of the collection also can fit with farmhouse interiors as well as southern or New England-designed more rustic homes. The island is sold separately and is a unique stand-alone addition. Customers who liked this design but like a bigger option may consider a farmhouse island work console with authentic reclaimed New Zealand pine. All of the series pairs perfectly with each other and can be mixed matched and combined to increase the desired interior design.

The craftsmanship is wonderful as well as the color of the wood. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I also like that the towel bar comes unattached, so you can place it on the side that works best for your kitchen.. Anonymous. Tue Jun 09 2026

Give your home an instant makeover with the cherry and black Le Rustica island. Designed to fit in any room of the house, the solid American cherry 4″ thick top complements the caviar black base. Also featured are dovetailed drawers and a matching cherry-slatted shelf for extra storage. Each wood top is finished with food-safe oil and Boos Board Cream. Boos recommends maintenance every 3 to 4 weeks to keep your island looking and performing well. Four beautifully tapered legs create a stunning piece of furniture you can use anywhere in your home.

Well made but was disappointed with the distressed black flecks on the cherry butcher block. Would have preferred a plain finish on the wood. The drawer does not open and close easily as others have noted. But I am very happy with this piece of furniture!. Patricia. New Glarus, WI. Sun May 26 2024

Made of solid pine wood from renewable resources.

After years of deciding what would fit and look right in my kitchen, I finally found this. Order furniture online is always scary because I can't put my hands on it, so I was delighted when this arrived. It's solid wood, very sturdy, and gorgeous. Exactly the farmhouse work table look I was going for. As other reviews have said, the top is two pieces; for me, this is not a con because most antique tables are made that way. Yes, there are knots in the wood on top; it's not a smooth butcher block. Depending on how you'll be using it, that shouldn't be an issue. However, if I decide I want that, I can always take the top off and replace with a solid slab of butcher block and still be at a price lower than it would've taken me to buy everything and built this. All in all a good purchase, highly recommend.. Jlee. Thu Oct 08 2026

Crafted from solid wood, this butcher block shelf countertop offers a refined straight-grain look and a solid 1.5" thickness. Designed for DIY kitchen counters, islands, bar tops, and worktables, it comes prefinished for long-lasting durability and easy install.

Absolutely gorgeous countertop! Love all the warm tones in the wood and the prominent grain. Feels substantial - love the thickness of the countertop and the weight. Planning to use this as a shelf in my laundry room so I needed something sturdy and beautiful to support all of my laundry products. Looks expensive and will really upgrade my space.. Hazel.
