This frame seems extremely sturdy. It took me about two hours to unboxed and put together both chairs. The instructions could be better, and I did use my own tool when attaching the chair to the swivel base. I only gave it 4 stars because bolts and screws rusted so quickly and stained the deck and rug. My husband was able to fix this (we think) by spraying the bottom of the furniture with flex seal.
