The wood top is exceptionally nice and I did purchase an inexpensive faux leather blotter to protect it from my scribbles—it’s quite handsome and I don’t want to ruin it in a clumsy moment. The factory workers did an exceptional job of packing and labeling everything. It does need to be placed against a wall rather than having the back face the room. The large “file drawer” is not sized like a file cabinet would be (smaller) but file folders will fit. It’s a small-ish desk…not an “executive desk,” but for me it has plenty of storage and I especially like having the two-shelf cabinet at bottom left. There were even extra parts included in case you were missing a piece. One of the only things I wish that could have been better was better instructions about how to put on the W drawer bracket like a better picture of how to install it especially on which end went where. I also wish that a hole could have been drilled in the back of the desk to allow the charging chord to have a place to go through to plug into the wall outlet. Product arrived quickly. However the box was damaged on all sides, presumably during shipping (FEDEX). One torn side of box exposed styrofoam, revealing linear scratch.
