This fan is gorgeous and looks stunning over our dining area in the kitchen. We have a high, pitched ceiling and it works great to keep the warm air from rising. It was also able to install in an angle and we bought the very long extension rod which worked perfectly. The light gives us plenty of illumination without being harsh. Since the ceiling is very high, we did have an electrician come and install it...our days of getting on tall ladders are over. But it did not take him long and it was straight forward.
