It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. I'm a 67 yr. old petite woman and I just finished assembling this cabinet by myself, using only a screwdriver and it took me about 3 hours. It's very well made, instructions are easy to follow, but I did see the complaints about the difficulty with the doors, but I did not have a problem with the doors. Be aware that if your TV is 55" like in the photo, once you position it on the cabinet the TV legs will hang off either the front or back of the cabinet. We needed a small, low tv console and this was perfect for our space. Well packed with no damage and, while not difficult to put together, it did take some time. Very nice but just a little tricky to put together. I usually don’t have any issues putting together furniture but the instructions number labels were slightly off. I love the cabinet and it was really easy to put together I think I completed it in under 90 minutes and no issues! I wasn't sure I was going to want the taller legs that it came with but once I put them on I really like it. I didn't buy it with the fireplace insert I bought that separately as I wanted one that had a little bit better quality than the one it came with and the reviews that I read on it. The cabinet overall is solid it's got a beautiful shape the doors do stick a little bit but it's not a deal kill and someone had mentioned that the electrical outlet is not cut into the cabinet so the cord for the fireplace does stop the doors from sliding all the way around not a problem for me. But if you want them all the way open then you may need to drill a hole into the floor of the cabinet. The only issue I really had was the handles the screws that it came with do not fit properly and they're too loose so they don't sit on the cabinet so I'm going to have to look for different screws or different handle which is not a big fix. Overall the directions were simple and easy to follow as long as you don't get ahead! Upon removing the styrofoam layer designed for protection, I found that several panels had been broken. Very disappointing, as I was excited about my purchase. Update The manufacturer was very helpful in getting me a replacement dresser. They sent me a brand new one at no extra cost, and the shipping was swift.
