Beautiful table! Easy to assemble with 2 people. (I would definitely recommend 2 people, I don't even know how it would be possible for 1 person...) The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table. The only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars is because this table took nearly 1 month to arrive. It took 2 weeks to partially arrive because the second package got lost. Wayfair did give me a discount (10) for the trouble. Delivery aside, this table is beautiful, perfectly solid and very easy to build. I built it in under one hour by myself! I will say it is much bigger than I expected. It could fit 6 chairs and I was thinking I only needed 4 chairs. Great buy overall aside from the wait time and delivery experience!. Anonymous.
