Very pretty. Instructions were clear, but I also put together a lot of furniture. Easy to follow if you know what you’re doing. Took a couple hours, but the longest part was trying to get the doors completely even after they were installed. I see a lot of other people say that theirs are not even, but the hinges are designed to be movable up and down, in and out, etc.. The sideboard arrived quickly and was well packaged. Despite the heaviness (120 lbs), I was pleased to see the outer edges double or triple protected with cardboard. A two person job for sure to unload into the house. Thankfully, assembly was straightforward although it did take a little over an hour to complete. The cabinet is substantial in weight and dimension. The front side has three sliding drawers banked by two full height side doors. The wood on the front has curved grooved elements that all fit together to make one contiguous pattern. The difficulty is that its hard to make the drawers all close in perfect alignment. The self open feature is handy, wherein the doorsdrawers are pushed in slightly to make them open up. I am happy with this piece and expect it to be in our home a long time.. Amy. Flagstaff, AZ. Stunning piece — the fluted oak doors, rounded corners, and brass handles look even better in person than in the listing photos. Bought it to pair with a desk and the vibe is chef’s kiss. Assembly was straightforward and it feels genuinely solid and heavy once together. The bad news my top panel arrived with a visible crack running right down the middle — pretty hard to miss. Chalking it up to transit damage and hoping a replacement part comes through. Also worth noting there’s some subtle color variation between panels, likely due to material differences the manufacturer mentions. It blends fine once you stop scrutinizing but heads up if you’re particular about that. I ordered this 47x16 Mid Century Modern Sideboard Buffet Cabinet for the alcove in my dining area of my downtown high-rise condo for added storage and appearance. I was pleasantly surprised with the high quality look and feel once it was assembled. It is a solid and heavy piece that should be durable for bar dining storage. I did choose to replace the included wood knobs with antiqued brass drawer knobs and have coordinating brass door pulls on order to replace the wood pulls. This hardware replacement really upgraded the look to an even more high end feel to coordinate with the other mid century modern wood pieces in the same area and only cost an extra 12. IMHO, This piece looks a bit smallershorter in person than in the pictures so definitely be aware of the dimensions of the cabinet before ordering and how tallbig of a space you are using it in. I ended up adding 2 in height with swivel levelerextender feet and will add wall decor above it to help make a bigger impact. The cabinet arrived well packed in a very heavy large box that really needs 2 people or a trolley to move. There was a corner of one of the doors that had a small bit of surface damage to the veneer that I was able to fix with a furniture and floor stain marker that I had on hand. There are many pieces that are all labeled and well organized. It took me several hours by myself to assemble. I highly recommend an electric screwdriver for the job especially when installing the back panels. The included directions are pretty clear as long as you pay very close attention to the pictures and direction of all the panels and groves and notches. For the price, the quality and appearance of this cabinet is outstanding and I highly recommend it as a great storage and nice looking accent piece especially for apartmentcondosmall space living.
